My travel night plan

I would like to visit Paris...zzz

I'm going to Paris. My sister is going with me. We booked the tickets last week, they were very expansive, but we saved money for three years. We are going to fly by TAM.
We are going to stay in a hotel in front of the Louvre museum. On the first day, we are going to visit the Louvre in the morning, next we are going to eat in a restaurant near the Eiffel tower.
We are going to stay two weeks in Paris. Thereafter, I'm going to Lyon, nearby city of Paris, when I'm going to visit the Ecole Centrale de Lyon. My sister is going to come back, because her vacation will end. Then, I'm going to come back too.

...

Suddenly, I awoke from my dream. =P

A wonderful trip to Natécia, Minas Gerais

On my last vacation, my parents, my sister and I went to Natércia, a small city in the south of Minas where the my father's cousins live. We traveled by car, because my mother wanted to visit some cities along the way.

We stayed there for a weekend in the house of my father's cousin called Antonio Noel. We slept in the room on an inflatable air mattress, because there wasn't spare bedroom.

On Friday, we went to visit the city and to know a little about its history. After that, we went to eat pizza in the only pizzeria of the city.

On Saturday, we met other another cousin and we went to the his coffee plantation.

We bought some souvenirs for my brothers. We had a good time, because we like small cities and Natércia was wonderful.

Biography of Oswaldo Cruz

Oswaldo Gonçalves Cruz was born, just as I, in São Luiz do Paraitinga on August 5, 1872.

He left São Luiz at the age of 5, because his parents went to Rio de Janeiro. He studied and graduated in Medicine. Cruz worked as a doctor until 1896 when he moved to Paris where he worked at the Pasteur Institute for 3 years to improve his knowledge in bacteriology field.

In 1904, Cruz extinguished the yellow fever from Rio de Janeiro, although the population didn't accept to be vaccinated, in an event that become known as "Revolta da Vacina" (vaccine revolt).

At the end of his life, he was the mayor of Petrópolis, where Cruz died on February 11, 1914.

What I am like

My name is Luiz Gustavo. Now, I live in Campinas, São Paulo because I take Mechanical Engineering at UNICAMP.

I was born on November 20, 1991, in São Luiz do Paraitinga, a small city with just 10.000 inhabitants in the countryside of São Paulo. My city is very, very, very famous because it "had" a big Carnaval and charming colonial buildings. As you can see in these pictures:

I say "it had" because on January 1st the Paraitinga river flooded and destroyed the city.

It is very sad, but fortunately there were no deaths.
